Cameroon announces the opening of the National Entrance Examination Competition for the Specialization Cycle in Medicine for the 2023-2024 academic year. This exam, which will be held at the Faculty of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences of the University of Yaoundé I, offers candidates the opportunity to access specialized training in medicine.

Conditions of admission

Candidates wishing to take this exam must meet the following conditions:

1. Cameroonian nationality: Only Cameroonian citizens can participate in this competition.

2. Age limit: Candidates must be 35 years old or less on January 1 of the year of the competition.

3. Diploma of Doctor of Medicine or Pharmacy: Candidates must hold a diploma of Doctor of Medicine or Pharmacy issued by an approved national faculty. Equivalent foreign diplomas are also accepted, provided that candidates have professional experience of at least two (02) years and authorization from the user ministry or supervisory body.

Opportunities for candidates outside quotas

In addition to candidates meeting the criteria mentioned above, certain categories of candidates may also apply for the competition for the specialization cycle in Medicine, subject to available places and in compliance with the regulations in force:

a) Candidates from other bodies and sectors.

b) Candidates from the secular and religious private sector.

c) Foreign candidates, in particular nationals of States having entered into a cooperation agreement with the Republic of Cameroon.
